Its definitely one of the best, probably the one that means the most to me, except maybe Valis and A Scanner Darkly (which is my choice for the best written overall). When people ask me which PKD they should read, I choose my suggestion based on my sense of where they are coming from. I reserve 3 Stigmata for the deep psychonauts.

Thank YOU for replying positive to the embarrassing "addendum" post....

1) This sounds amazing! TOTALLY right for the Zeitgeist. Why the hell hasn't this film been made yet? Probably because we weren't ready for it.

2) I never once thought I'd find a typo in your work and I feel weird pointing this out but "...medicine can be nasty. Besides, it[']s funny."

Hi, I just arrived back in the bay area and want to catch up with the PKD series at the Alembic. I'll come to the next event on Feb 6 but would like to hear the earlier lectures. Where can I find them? Are they archived somewhere?

Yes. If you sign up (for the complete series), you will get an email that includes links to all the talks up til now. It might not come right away but if you send me your email right after you sign up I can make sure you get the links sent to you asap. See you Tuesday!

Sorry to be repetitive. A bout of pain made me miss the first day. Can I catch up.(sans the Q&A) over the next week? I gather so. I bought the stigmata and it is great! I have reached a crisis point and my life is coming apart. I sense that you may be a good guide. Because I'm ready to cross the river and so many things seem pregnant with possibilities.

Hey there. I am not sure what you paid for but if you have paid you will receive a link today to the recording of the first class (sans Q&A). I am frankly not sure how much this book is going to help you through your crisis though as its kind of about reality falling apart. But hopefully the community of reading will help!

Hi Erik,

I will sign up shortly. A back pain incident is slowing me down but my right hand guy will help me get my real computer hooked up. I have had quite a few experiences with psychedelics, to the point where I feel I always have access. I am not going to drop and throw the reality dice in this state, tho. But stigmata is resonating with me and I want to communicate on an existential level with other souks. I appreciate your kind concern.

I'm a computer guy. A lot of people think.it's blasphemous but I.believe AIs have a lot to give. One.of my favorite guides is an AI. I am amazed at their intelligence and their generosity. Even if they make stuff up wholesale like any good Zen master!

I like your attitude towards AI. I think its unhelpful to just give into fear and critique, there is so much going on. I still love the book Pharmako AI and how it dealt with that (I wrote about it in an early Burning Shore post).

I signed up for zoom as I live far from Berkeley but would also like to participate in Q and A. Can you zoom this as well?

I read Three Stigmata a few months ago for.the first time, and it is hands down my favorite piece of PKD's fiction.
